SOCIAL CLUB – Thursday, 10/16 will be CTK’s responsibility to host the Abingdon Social Club.  Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.  Sign-up sheets will be in the Commons on Sunday.  This is the spaghetti casserole dinner so we will need people to make casseroles and bring other fixings.  If you have any questions, please contact Lee Ann Geisenhaver at 676-3775.  Thanks!

 

CTK’S FALL YARD SALE 10/11.  Please bring in your items beginning 10/06.  Also, if you are able to help with the pricing of items, or with the sale, please sign up in the Commons.

ADULT EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY IN CELEBRATION OF THE JUBILEE YEAR OF THE APOSTLE PAUL On 06/29/08, Pope Benedict XVI declared a year in celebration of the 2000th anniversary of the birth of St. Paul.  All parishioners are invited to join us as we delve into the life and writings of the “Apostle to the Gentiles.”  In these sessions we shall explore an overview of the life of St. Paul and study his first letter to the Corinthians.

 Where:  In the main Church

When:  Each Sunday after Mass beginning October 12th

Who:  Sessions will be led by Deacon Cronican

What:  Bring your Bibles

ADULT FAITH FORMATION OPPORTUNITY Faithful Citizenship:  You are invited to join St. Anne’s Parish for this presentation by Father Tim Keeney on Wed., 10/01.  Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., followed by Evening Prayer.  Father Tim’s presentation begins at 7:00 p.m.  Please RSVP (2760 669-8200 ext. 32 or email:  sydneyfarnum@stannes-bristol.org by 09/28 if you will be attending the dinner.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – to staff the church office from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon every Wednesday.  We are hoping to have several people to volunteer so they can serve on a rotating basis.

 

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND – The Women’s Guild invites the women of the parish to join us for a picnic on the grounds of Abingdon Vineyard and Winery on Sat. 10/18.  Pack a lunch and meet us at the Winery’s patio at noon to enjoy food, friendship and fun.  The rain date is 10/19 at noon.

 

LEFT AT CTK   - Plastic tray, large tray basket, 2 books, a bib, a bag of toys and a small “to do” pad with a green pen.  Also, many towels have been left in the kitchen within the past two months.  Please come and pick up these items, if they are yours.  Thanks!
